Wednesday 7.15 – 8.30pm adults
Saturday 11 -12pm kids 12.30 – 1.45pm adults

The Competition on 16/04/11

A big congratulations to our students who took part in the Karate competition on 16/04/11.  The kids unfortunately did not get matched to an opponent but they did do a fantastic demonstration with the help of Sempai Graeme Mather.  All kids were awarded a certificate and medal for the great effort they put in.

Our adult students who did get to fight, Ania and Kris did not win but did came pretty close.  Ania who is a blue belt fought a black belt and was awarded second place in the competition.  She was also awarded the most spirited fighter award so a big well done for her.  Kris who is a brown belt fought a really hard round again with a black belt but was injured and therefore, unable to fight for third place.  So a big well done for Kris who came in fourth place.  I can’t stress enough how much courage and heart it took to take part in the competition, the standard was amazingly high so again, Well Done!

An additional note to all – The next grading exam takes place on Saturday 7th May 2011 at 10.45am sharp.  All forms and monies should be received by the club no later than Saturday 30th April 2011.  Thanks

Karate Competition

We would like to wish a big good luck to all the students taking part in the Karate Competition on Saturday 16th April.

We are all very proud of you all for taking part.

Well done!

A big well done to all the students who took part in and passed their grading exam on Saturday.  The standard was very high and all the examiners were very impressed by the enthusiasm and effort that was shown on the day.

Grading Exam

Just a wee reminder for all students wishing to take part in the grading exam on Saturday 26th February. Please have all monies and grading forms in by this Saturday the 12th to Shihan Metin Tuncay. If you are unsure of cost then please drop us an email at ashihara.support@hotmail.co.uk or ask your instructor for prices.
